Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

You can book on our website or call us  (516)-686-6859

Am I a good candidate for microblading?

I’d be happy to consult with you to determine if you are a good candidate for microblading.
However, I cannot perform the procedure on those that have:

SKIN CONDITION : Psoriasis/dermatitis, eczema, keratosis pilaris, chronic acne, rosacea on and around the brow area.

You are also NOT a good candidate if you:

- are pregnant or breastfeeding

- are prone to keloid scars

- are taking antibiotics

- had surgery within the last month

- have serious disease such as epilepsy, cancer (need 6 months clear).

-if you are diabetic ( please come in for a consultation).

- have a heart condition/pacemaker

- Botox- You will have to wait 1 month before/after procedure

- have a sunburn

- If you have previous microblading or permanent makeup text (516) 207-9470 or email  glowupbywen@gmail.com a clear picture of your bare brows to determine if you are a candidate )

- if you are on ANY medication you have to text or email glowupbywen@gmail.com a list of medications you are taking to verify they won't interfere with the procedure or healing process.

- You cannot take any caffeine, vitamins, blood thinning medication or alcohol 24 hours prior to your appoinment.

So, if you’re thinking you’re ready for a PMU procedure, it is important to know that the results of your permanent makeup will be based on the health and quality of your skin. Results will vary from person to person, and if you have a pre-existing skin condition or are on medications, you may still be eligible for a procedure but should adjust your expectations based on your situation.

Does Microblading hurt ?

The pain level for the procedure is considered mild. We will apply topical anesthetic to numb the area. Everyone responds differently to pain. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.

After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn.

Should I get my eyebrows microbladed or should I opt for powder brows?

Both are great options, it all depends on the look you want to go for, your skin type, and if you have had any procedures done before. Book a consultation with Wendolyn for individual suggestions!

Are results guaranteed?

Microblading is an art not an exact science therefore healed results varies with each person.
Glowupbywen by Wendolyn Bran make no guarantees about how your brows will heal and you may need additional sessions for best results (at an additional charge). Various factors affect healed results and Wendolyn Bran does her best to provide you with the best service with the high quality training she has received. Please read the FAQ's and Before/Aftercare to determine if microblading is a good fit for you.
